Cross-Eye (Strabismus)

Cross-eye is a condition in which the two eyes cannot work together in a parallel and straight line.

There are 6 extraocular muscles in each eye. Lack of strength or excess in one or more of these causes strabismus. In most cases, the only effective treatment for a sustained eye is surgery.
